The Shiatsu Session
Sessions take place in a warm, safe space where you remain fully clothed lying on a futon on the floor or a couch covered with a warm blanket. No oils are used.
Each session is tailored to your individual needs as a full medical diagnosis is given before the start of your session. I work with you to support, nourish and engage intuitively, addressing what is causing your ill health, not just treating the symptoms. My treatments support and complement any psychotherapy or western medical treatment you may be having.
There will be an opportunity to discuss possible changes to lifestyle, exercise and diet as well as the chance to learn relaxation and other self-help techniques that you can practise at home.
How many treatments will I need?
Each Shiatsu session is an individual treatment, helping your body to heal and restore balance at its own pace. You will certainly feel better after a single session, but if the condition is long-term then it may return once the effects of your treatment wear off or the stresses and strains of your day to day life start to overwhelm.
I recommend that new clients commit to at least 3-5 sessions in order to realise more long-term benefits from your Shiatsu treatment or you may need a course of treatments to really get to the root of the problem.
Your health situation depends on many factors: how long you have had the problem, your age, the reactivity and ability of the body to react, your trust in me your therapist, the willingness to improve your lifestyle (posture, breathing, diet, exercise, mental attitude).

It's like having an MOT once a month for the body. Regular treatments are beneficial and helps you to maintain your optimum health and wellbeing.
